Synopsis

Three stories that are part of the same story. In 1941, in a provincial town in Argentina, a girl confesses to a priest the first and diffuse sexual impulses she notices in her body, related to the attraction she feels for a young man named Videla who passes under her window every day. In 1977 a group of young revolutionaries prepares an attack on an airfield to liquidate a Videla who is no longer young and is known to all. And finally, an old woman -the girl in the first story- plays a game of cards with her grandson, who has come to visit her at the residence where she spends her days, and between moves tells him what happened to her son, the boy’s father, in what turns out to be a new confession.

Synopsis

Mejor no me des Nada es una comedia ácida, inspirada en eventos reales y mitos urbanos que afirman que el terreno sobre el que se construyó el obelisco porteño le fue usurpado ilegalmente a Don Domingo Acassuso, quien cedió esas tierras en 1733 para la construcción de una iglesia con la condición de que, si el terreno se utilizaba para otra cosa que no fuera la iglesia, debía regresar a la familia. Cosa que nunca sucedió…

Synopsis

Zoe (16), an introverted and rebellious teenager, signs up for a subscription to Mrs. Insta, a controversial fake-follower company with her stepfather’s credit card. She does it to stand out in front of the juries for a scholarship at a famous music conservatory that would eventually take her away from home. She has no idea that these followers are inmates of a high-security prison, that she will end up collaborating in unraveling a corrupt prison system, that the prisoners will end up fugitives in her home and that one of them will become the close friend she longed to find since her father’s death.  Despite not being accepted into the music conservatory for her less than transparent maneuver brought to light by the ruthless Mrs. Insta, a video of her playing the violin for her new controversial friends will end up being all the rage on social media and real followers will begin to arrive on her Instagram account.

Synopsis

While he and his brothers are building the plane they will patent with the family name to mark the anniversary of their father’s death, a film director uses the excuse of documenting the process to conduct a series of interviews with his family. Synopsis

Based on the case of Gabriela Arias Uriburu. Year 1991.

In 1991, Gabriela Arias Uriburu married Imad Shaban in Guatemala, despite the fact that he was a Catholic and she was a Muslim. They had three children together, but this was not enough to save their multicultural marriage, and in 1997 Gabriela filed for divorce with the Guatemalan Civil Court, which also granted her custody of their three children.
However, on 10 December 1997, Imad Shaban kidnapped their three children, Karim, Zahira and Sharif, from Guatemala and the four of them disappeared…

It was weeks before the FBI learnt that they had illegally entered Miami before travelling on to Jordan, a Muslim country. Under Jordanian law, Gabriela would only be able leave the country with the permission of her ex-husband’s family: if she went there, she wouldn’t be allowed to leave.

Her case, the first of its kind at the time, pitted the legal systems of East and West against one another. Gabriela’s only chance to see her children again would be to make it a leading case, learning to use the tools of diplomacy, press coverage and governmental pressure to turn the tide in her favour.

From Hillary Clinton and the Pope to the CIA and the FB; from the Presidents of Guatemala and Argentina to the King of Jordan himself, Abdullah II, nobody could ignore this desperate mother, ready to do whatever it took. They would all have to hear her out. Synopsis

A 47-year-old actor in Los Angeles learns by chance that he is idolised in a distant country for the role of a masked crusader he played 15 years ago, in a show that was cancelled after two seasons.

He decides to drop everything and head for this new country, Argentina, where the press elevate him to the level of hero and celebrity, and he enjoys the adulation of millions of people. In Argentina, the people adopt him as one of their own, because his fictional hero is just the man they need to confront the murky political reality of a country experiencing yet another military dictatorship, with thousands of people being disappeared.

Taking advantage of this newfound success and the accompanying celebrity, the actor begins appearing as his character, Zorro, in countless prime-time TV shows. And he starts planning his definitive comeback, writing a film that will catapult him back to fame. But to make his dream a reality he must first confront the whims of the local producers in whose hands the film’s fate lies.

With the transition from military dictatorship to democracy, and the awarding of the 78 World Cup to Argentina, the public appetite for a masked crusader fighting for the rights of the voiceless wanes, and the invites to appear on popular talk shows dry up. On the other hand, he finally reaches an agreement with one of the most powerful TV channels in Argentina. They agree to make his film if, in exchange, he will perform in character every day at the Royal Madrid Circus in a resort on the Atlantic coast, far from the capital.

Unfortunately, the military dictatorship clamps down on the TV channel and the financing for his film vanishes into thin ar. This comes just at the moment when the director of the largest tabloid publishing group in the country, on the verge of bankruptcy, decides to change his approach. In a cruel plot, the publisher that once put him on a pedestal now decides to engage its readership, many of whom are fans of the actor, by using fake news to discredit the one thing that Zorro, Diego de la Vega and Guy Williams all shared: their code of honour…

Synopsis

The manic ghost of a little girl, who died of mysterious causes in 1903, is threatening to destroy a dam and flood the town of Rayán. She refuses to leave the ranch that newly employed estate agent Vera, 19, is trying to sell to earn her commission and finish paying for her controversial wedding.
The ghost communicates with the townspeople via texts from an unknown number. Together with her few friends still living in the town, Vera investigates what the ghost wants and what it needs to be able to leave. In doing so, she discovers a secret that will shake the small town of Rayán, on the inland Pampas of Buenos Aires, to its very foundations, revealing the terrifying nature of her own family in the process.
